Want to make your home more comfortable and save energy? With the Brel Hub 04 , you get the smart solution for controlling and automating your blinds and window treatments from your phone. But what makes this hub so special, and how do you use it best?
What is the Brel Hub 04?
The Brel Hub 04 is a central controller that connects your Brel motors, and therefore your sun protection, to your smartphone or tablet. You can control all your products via the BREL MATTER app, wherever you are. From roller shutters to screens and from curtains to awnings – everything is connected.
The Hub 04 itself is a small box that you can tuck away behind the sofa. Many of our customers look for the best location for their existing blinds, as some locations are better than others. Keep in mind that once you've set it up, you don't need to access the Hub again.
Smart control via your phone
Thanks to the Hub connection, you can easily control your sun blinds with a single button in the app. No more separate remote controls, just everything clearly on your phone. You can also control multiple products simultaneously – handy if you want to close all the screens in the living room at once, for example. The app also provides feedback, indicating whether the screen is actually closed or whether something has intervened.
Automate for comfort and savings
The real power of the Brel Hub 04 lies in its automation and integration. For example, set your awning to automatically turn off when the sun shines brightly, or your roller shutters to close when it gets dark. This way, you keep your home cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and save energy without even realizing it.
You can create these connections using the Matter integration. This integration allows you to further integrate your sun protection into your home.
For example, one of our customers has a home that's fully visible in Apple HomeKit, including lighting, doors, heating, and the doorbell. Now, the sun blinds have been added to this list. The weather app now offers the option to close the blinds in bad weather, but to close everything early on warm days and in good weather. This keeps the heat out from the earliest point of the day.
Works with Google and Alexa
You don't just connect the hub to the Apple HomeKit shown in the example. It can also easily be connected to Google Home or Amazon Alexa. This also gives you the ability to control everything with your voice: "Hey Google, close the screens"—without lifting a finger.
