Do you want to make your home more comfortable and save energy? With the Brel Hub 04, you get the smart solution for controlling and automating your sun shading and window coverings from your phone. But what makes this hub so special and how do you best use it?
What is the Brel Hub 04?
The Brel Hub 04 is a central controller that connects your Brel motors, and thus your sun protection, to your smartphone or tablet. Through the BREL MATTER app, you can control all your products, wherever you are. From roller shutters to screens and from curtains to awnings – everything is interconnected.
The Hub 04 itself is a small box that you can hide behind the sofa. Many of our customers look for the best location relative to the sun protection they have installed. Some places are simply better than others. Remember that once set up, you won't need to access the Hub anymore.
Smart control via your phone
Thanks to the connection via the Hub, you can easily control your sun protection with one tap in the app. No more separate remote controls, but everything clearly arranged on your phone. In addition, you can control multiple products at the same time – handy if you want to close all the screens in the living room at once, for example. The App also provides feedback, confirming whether the screen is indeed closed or if something has gotten in the way.
Automate for comfort and savings
The true power of the Brel Hub 04 lies in its automations and integrations. For example, set your awning to automatically extend when the sun shines brightly, or your roller shutters to close when it gets dark. This way, you keep your home cool in summer, warm in winter, and save energy without even noticing.
These integrations can be made using the Matter integration. This integration makes it possible to further integrate your sun shading into your home.
For example, one of our customers has a home that is fully visible in Apple HomeKit. From lighting, doors, heating, and the doorbell. Now the sun shading have been added to this. The weather app now offers the possibility to close the sun shading in bad weather, but to close everything early on nice and warm days. This way, the heat stays outside from the earliest moment of the day.
Works with Google and Alexa
You can connect the hub not only to Apple HomeKit as in the example. The hub can also be easily connected to Google Home or Amazon Alexa. This way, you also have the option to control everything with your voice: “Hey Google, close the blinds” – and you won't have to lift a finger.

The Brel Hub 04 cannot be connected to Somfy motors. However, you can make a connection via the Matter integration. There will be a small delay in this, and some technical knowledge is required.
