Frequently asked questions about folding arm awnings 400 x 300
What terrace size is suitable for 400 x 300 cm?
This size is suitable for many backyards, townhouses, and compact patios. With a width of 4 meters, you can create shade over a nice seating area, and with a projection of 3 meters, you can effectively keep the sun off your facade. During the home visit, we will check if the size makes sense for your patio.
What does an articulated arm awning 400 x 300 cost?
The price depends on the fabric, cassette, operation, and installation. A 400 x 300 cm awning is often more favorably priced than wider versions, but it remains a custom product. If you're specifically looking for a competitive price, check out our articulated arm awning offer and then request personalized home advice.
Is 400 x 300 cm large enough?
For many patios, yes. The size offers a good balance between shade, appearance, and installation effort. If you have a wide facade or a large seating area, a wider version might be more suitable. We measure on-site and show you how much shade you can approximately expect.
When do I choose 600 x 300 cm?
You choose an articulated arm awning 600 x 300 when you want to shade a wider patio, larger sliding door, or multiple seating areas. The awning offers more width, but also requires good facade inspection. Therefore, we always advise on site which size fits best.
What is the difference with other folding arm awnings?
A 400 x 300 cm version works the same as other retractable awnings, but is often more compact and therefore suitable for many standard patios. You get plenty of shade without the awning becoming too dominant on the facade. The right fabric and frame color will make the overall look calm.
Is this also sun protection with folding arm awnings?
Yes. A screen measuring 400 x 300 cm falls under retractable awnings. It is a practical size for those who want to sit comfortably outside and experience less heat indoors. STERK assists you with fabric choice, operation, measurement, and installation.
Can an articulated arm awning 400 x 300 be electric?
Yes, electric operation is possible and often pleasant, even for 400 x 300 cm. You open and close the screen with a remote control or switch. This makes daily use easier, especially when the screen hangs above a patio door or large glass facade.
How long does a 400 x 300 folding arm awning last?
With proper maintenance and normal use, the complete screen will last an average of 15 to 20 years. The fabric may need to be replaced sooner than the frame. Our service technicians will honestly advise you on whether maintenance, fabric replacement, or a new screen is the best choice.
